Right-handed pitcher Julio Teheran, 32, is headed to Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee Brewers officially announced the signing of Teheran in a press release on July 26. Teheran was immediately announced as the starting pitcher for that day’s home game against the San Francisco Giants. John Heyman of the New York Post reported on social media that Tehran had multiple offers, and that the deal with Milwaukee was for $1.5 million (KRW 1.95 billion) with $1 million (KRW 1.3 billion) in incentives. 스포츠토토
Milwaukee is currently riddled with pitching injuries. Eric Lauer is out, along with Wade Miley and Brandon Woodruff. Aaron Ashby and Jason Alexander, both of whom started more than 10 games last year, are also on the disabled list (IL). Teheran went 4-2 with a 5.63 ERA at Triple-A El Paso for the San Diego Padres this season. In his Major League Baseball (MLB) career, he is 78-77 with a 3.80 ERA.
The Colombian native finished fifth in the National League (NL) Rookie of the Year voting in 2013. He went 14-8 with a 3.20 ERA for the Atlanta Braves that year. Ryu finished fourth in NL Rookie of the Year voting. First place went to Jose Fernandez. After playing in Atlanta through 2019, Teheran moved to the Los Angeles Angels in 2020, where he struggled, going 4-4 with a 10.05 ERA. In 2021, he made one start for the Detroit Tigers. His last MLB appearance was on April 4, 2021, against the Cleveland Indians (now the Cleveland Indians).
